Fish meal processing

 

Fish meal is a good feed for livestock and poultry. The indigenous method of processing fishmeal on a small scale is low in cost and easy to produce.

1. Selection of materials

Small fish, shrimp, or fish heads, tails, gizzards, and viscera that are processed during the process of eating low-value fish or fish can be used as raw materials for processing fishmeal, but salted raw materials should not be used.

2. Cooking

Remove contaminants from raw materials, rinse with clean water, collect and drain, put into cloth bag, steam or boil for about 20 minutes.

3. Press

Remove the bag and add stones or other heavy material to squeeze it out of the water. If the number is large, it can be squeezed by a machine and the pressure at the beginning is small. After most of the water is squeezed out, it is gradually pressurized until it is pressed dry.

4. Dried

The pressure-dried loquat block is evenly spread on the dry mat and often turned so that it can be dried in time (the amount of water is below 12%) and the rotting can be prevented.

5. Smash

The crushed pieces of dried rice are crushed and put into paper bags or burlap bags as finished products. If the amount can be used to crush the grinder. If fishmeal is stored for a long time, it should be regularly dried to prevent moisture and mildew.
